tattooesday

Well it's actually Wednesday, but I have had tattoos on the brain for many many months. The whale of my dreams is taking form on my back, a bigger endeavor than I had realized! Five hours of ink and it is not nearly done. I am so freaking eager to see it finished, while trying to be patient and enjoy the process. Ahh whale you teach me so much.

I am thinking about getting a hawk wing on my right forearm, unless I decide to spruce up my little dino instead.

I want a mandala on my thigh.

I want I want I want.

on the bright side

Made it safely to Seattle, driving one-handed over snowy Mt. hood pass. Consulted an enthusiastically talented Clio (April 24!!). Quick lunch with Rain in Portland. Hot drinks with Sammy, hot springs with Ang and hot damn, sir Amy is in town. Been meditating and aura watching. Green tea has gratefully replaced coffee. My favorite Yerba mate. Plants in my car. And tomorrow? I have a new home for one March month. xo

animal totems

Armadillo, Bear, Porcupine, Snake, Hawk, Dragonfly, Wild Boar, Whale and Cat. I drew the first seven from Angie's deck of medicine cards. And the last two? They've made themselves known :)

home sweet home

Back in Bend after two weeks of being here and there, and indulging to the max. A declaration has been made; the post-burning man binge is officially over! I'm looking forward to being in one place for the time being and relearning how to take care of myself. Some hopes for the next few weeks include:

begin a manifestation journal
write down dreams
palm session
sell things
make things
see friends
eat kimchi
rejuvenate
be alone
stretch
move
laugh

that should be doable, right? right. xo

transformation

Almost fully healed!  Suzy did an incredible job on my coverup golden beet dude. I even love the fact that if you look closely, you can see the faintest memory of a moon in the stem. Of course I'm already thinking about what's next and how to turn this body of mine into a garden. Also? Loving my newly thrifted moccasins. xo

some inspiration

For tattoos, new beginnings, creative works and flight.

Been feeling inundated with information and choice these days. Is this a particular burden of my generation, or a constant in the human condition throughout time? I wonder about that allure of travel, the opposing drives to root and lift off, and how fear and desire hold hands across the fence. Hm.

Also?
I got my ticket....
